Items of note include a copy of a 1959 Cecil J. Williams photo of Mrs. Harry Belafonte presenting an award to the S.C. NAACP's first life member, Dr. Harlowe Caldwell; a 1977 program saluting NAACP Executive Director Roy Wilkins; a 1979 program commemorating the 25th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education; and a 1985 program commemorating the National Urban League's 75th anniversary.

Wilkins edited the KANSAS CITY CALL, a Black newspaper, from 1923 to 1931. Wilkins became Assistant Secretary of the NAACP in 1931 and became Executive Secretary in 1955.
